Berrie H Jarrett

Berrie was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on the 10th of June, 1894 and we know his enlistment in the US Navy would see him deployed in support of the Mexican Campaign. His actions as a Seaman would earn him the Medal of Honor. The citation reads:

On board the U.S.S. Florida Jarrett displayed extraordinary heroism in the line of his profession during the seizure of Vera Cruz, Mexico, 21 April 1914. (CMOHS.org)

Berrie received his Medal of Honor on the 19th of August, 1914 and would reach the rank of Gunner, which was a Warrant Officer position at the time. Berrie Henry Jarrett died on the 14th of August, 1927 at the age of 33 and he is buried in Lorraine Park Cemetery in Woodlawn, Maryland, with his wife Myrtle (FindAGrave.com).
